LARRY LANDAUER (Executive Director - Orange County Regional Center): Larry has served persons with developmental disabilities over the past 25 years. After earning his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in social work, he began his career at RCOC in 1988 as a service coordinator. Over the next two decades he worked his way up through the ranks, gaining experience and first hand knowledge in virtually all aspects of regional center operations - from service coordination, area management and quality assurance, to the full range of community resources and public benefits for people with developmental disabilities and their families. RCOC (www.rcocdd.com) is the private non-profit organization contracted by the State of California to coordinate services and supports for approximately 17,000 Orange County residents with developmental disabilities and their families. These disabilities include intellectual disability, autism, epilepsy, and cerebral palsy.
RANDY LAYA (Developmental Center & Federal Revenues Manager for Regional Center of Orange County): Randy has been working with people who have developmental disabilities for over 30 years. He began by providing direct care to students at a special needs school. Randy earned a Masters Degree in rehabilitation Counseling. His experience includes case management, individual and group counseling, behavior management, managing a sheltered workshop, and supervising counselors in both sheltered and supported employment. Randy's career at the Regional Center of Orange County began in 1999 where he served as service coordinator to consumers who live in the community and those who reside at State Developmental Centers.
